Real Estate, Guided by Strategy — Not Pressure

I’m Angela Arnold — a real estate broker, investor, and founder of Elephant in the Room Interior Design. My work sits at the intersection of real estate, design, and investment strategy, helping properties perform better by understanding how people buy and how preparation influences outcomes.

Where Strategy Meets Real Life.

Real estate decisions are strongest when design, market knowledge, and strategy work together.

Design-informed. Investor-minded. Outcome-focused.

I’m Angela Arnold — a real estate broker/Realtor® serving Indianapolis and North Central Indiana, specializing in strategic listings, seller representation, and investor-focused real estate.

I work with homeowners preparing to sell, investors evaluating opportunities, and builders and developers who want properties positioned intentionally — not generically.

Where This Began

Real estate investing is where my career started.

Our family investment business, Happy Homes, was established in 2000, beginning with residential renovations and long-term holds. As an adult, I began working alongside my parents and brother — gaining hands-on experience across acquisitions, renovations, repositioning, and full market cycles, including the Great Recession.

Today, I’m a partner in Happy Homes, where that lived experience continues to shape how I evaluate opportunities and guide clients.

From Staging to Strategy

In 2015, I founded Elephant in the Room Interior Design, an award-winning home staging business that evolved into an interior design firm serving real estate investors, builders, and commercial clients across the United States and Canada.

What began as staging quickly became something more strategic.

I wasn’t just helping properties look better — I was helping sellers and investors understand:

  • how buyers move through space

  • where perception breaks down

  • and which decisions actually influence outcomes

That perspective now informs every aspect of my real estate work.

How I Work Today as a real estate broker + Investor

As a real estate broker, I bring together:

  • investment discipline

  • design and staging expertise

  • and a clear understanding of buyer psychology

My background also includes over two decades in advertising and marketing, which informs how I think about positioning, messaging, and buyer perception.

I approach real estate with the mindset of an investor and the discipline of a strategist — focused on outcomes, not volume.

I work with homeowners, investors, builders, and developers who want clarity, not pressure — and strategy that respects both the property and the market.

If you’re considering a move and want to think through options before committing to a plan, a conversation is the best place to start.

Through my affiliation with eXp Realty, I’m able to connect clients with vetted agents nationwide when a move, investment, or referral extends beyond Indiana.

Education, Credentials, and Recognition

To strengthen my investment framework, I hold professional certifications in Real Estate Development and Real Estate Investment & Finance through the Cornell University – SC Johnson College of Business.

I’m also a Certified Staging Professional®, a RESA-Pro member, and previously served as President of the Indianapolis chapter of the Real Estate Staging Association.

My staging work has been recognized among the Top 100 home stagers in the United States and Canada multiple years — a distinction that reflects consistency, not trend-chasing.

What Clients Value Most in my real estate approach

Clients often work with me because I:

  • see properties as both space and asset

  • integrate design and strategy seamlessly

  • communicate clearly and honestly

  • and prioritize fit over volume

I’m hands-on where it matters, strategic throughout the process, and always focused on outcomes that make sense — financially and practically.
